If your SX3K is setup correctly, it should be able to find the device on your network. Then check your Network screen again to make sure the connection doesn't show up again!ģ. ![]() (The SX3K will take care of the connection through the SX Virtual Link software.) Apply your changes to the Network Preferences and reboot, just to make sure the caches are clean. However, it causes a conflict and for our purposes (networking the Vantage Pro through the SX3K), just _DELETE the SLAB_USBtoUART service_ in the Network screen. It's either a bug or it's a way to connect the USB to UART port through a modem, which I guess someone might want to do. Basically OS X detects a new interface and is asking you to set it up. You can leave the display sleep to your current setting.Ģ."Network > SLAB_USBtoUART": I have seen this as well on initial install. In your System Preferences/Energy Saver, just set the _computer sleep_ to "Never". If there's a local, you can find the unit there for about $90 US. I picked the SX3000GB after looking and comparing specifications of similar products and took a chance that it would work for my needs in the weather station. Now you should be able to connect to the remote station, download data, view real-time weather conditions, etc. (If you don't see the Port specified, reboot your machine and try again after launching the SX Virtual Link.)
